Seller's Checklist
- Please familiarize yourself with all the Dates and Deadlines for the sale and submit all required paperwork by their deadlines. You will find a schedule of dates on the sale information page on the OBSOnline website.
- Be sure you have a completed and signed Entry Form for the sale. Please complete the form fully. Partial information on the entry form will delay the entry process.
- Please fill out the Optional Under Tack Form per sale found on the Consignor page of the OBSOnline website.
- Please ensure that your horse is fully registered and assign the digital certificate to OBS. Unregistered horses will not be able to be sold.
- Procure all of the media (photos, videos, etc.) you plan to use in selling your horse and submit it to OBS. We may be able to assist you in some instances in getting certain pieces of media but it is ultimately your responsibility.
- Please submit any Seller Descriptions you want included on the horse’s information page on the website by the submission deadline. The submission form can be found on the Consignor page.
- ANY ANNOUNCEMENTS THAT MUST BE MADE TO SATISFY THE CONDITIONS OF SALE (CRIBBERS, RIGS, ETC.) MUST BE TURNED IN ON THE HORSE QUESTIONNAIRE FORM AT THE TIME OF THE PAPERWORK DEADLINE IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT AN ANNOUNCEMENT PLEASE READ THE SUMARY OF CONDITIONS SEVENTH AND EIGHT THAT MAY BE FOUND ON THE OBSONLINE WEBSITE.
- Please submit any Reserves by the deadline. PLEASE NOTE: ALL RESERVES WILL BE LIVE MONEY ONLY.
- If you wish to bid on your own horses you must apply for Bidding Credentials through the OBSOnline website.
- Repository information is REQUIRED for weanlings, yearlings and horses of racing age. Be sure all information, including radiographs and radiograph reports, are submitted on time. OBS encourages sellers to submit a video endoscopy or an endoscopic report as well.
- Once bidding concludes, you will be notified when your horse is sold or unsold. If sold, you will be informed of the buyer and instructed when to release the horse for shipping.
