2026 OBSOnline Spring Second Chance Sale

Similar to the March sale, Ocala Breeders’ Sale will offer a Second Chance sale for the Spring Two‐Year‐Olds in Training sale.

This OBSOnline Spring Second Chance Sale will be a Timed Auction for horses that performed in the under tack show then
scratched or did not meet reserve through the ring in the live sale.

• Entries close 4/21 and the sale will be held 4/24 – 4/28. Where bidding will begin at noon on 4/24 and the hips will begin to
  close on 4/28 at noon.
• The online entry portal will be open starting Friday, April 17th. Contact the OBS office to exercise this option.
• Entry fee is $500.
• Commission:
  • For horses that scratched from the Spring Sale‐‐Sold Horses: 5% of final bid. Unsold Horses: 5% of final bid up to
    $50,000, plus 2 ½% in excess of $50,000 (minimum commission is $1,000)
  • For horses that were RNA’s in the Spring Sale ‐‐ No commission. Commission already charged on the RNA price
    from the live Spring sale.

Other Important Information:

• Horses will retain their consignor and hip number.
• Media (under tack video, walking video) will be used from the Spring sale. If a walking video was not supplied in the Spring
  sale, it is required for the Second Chance sale. Consignors may add one additional video no longer than 30 seconds.
• Repository information (radiographs, videoscopes, etc.) will be used from the Spring sale. If not supplied for the Spring sale,
  they are required for the Second Chance sale. Consignors may elect to have their radiograph reports displayed on the horse’s
  detail page. Contact the OBS office to exercise this option.
• Due to the compressed time frame quickly after the live sale, when entering your horses please be sure to include;
  • Address for the location where the horses will be during the Timed auction in the event a buyer wants to inspect a
    horse.
  • Name, phone number and email address for the contact person for the consignment or the person that will
    communicate with potential buyers.
  • Let us know if you wish to have your radiograph report included on the horse’s detail page. Please note, we will not be
    able to track who is viewing the reports with this option as they will be available to the public to view.

In addition to the online Second Chance sale, we will also be closing the entries for the June sale on Friday as well.

Entering both the Second Chance sale and the June sale: 

• If you want to be in the main catalog for the June sale AND the Second Chance sale you will incur two entry fees.
• As an alternative, horses can first enter the Second Chance sale and if unsold can then enter the June sale as a supplement.
